Architect Marco Conte
Born in Silandro (Bolzano) in 1963 with a degree in Architecture at the Politecnico of Milan and listed in the Register of Architects of Bolzano under the number 526, Marco Conte has matured significant experience overseeing design and supervision of works of public interest and the community. From 1989 to 2015 he worked in an Engineering company Alpina S.p.A. in Milan where from 1996 he was responsible for leading the construction architecture sector, and later in 2000 he covered the role of technical director and soon moved on to becoming shareholder and board member in 2007. From 1996 to 2014 he worked in the partnership Valagussa & Partners. During his years at Alpina he was engaged in numerous structural and building services designs in the construction sector of public interest, for universities, malls, hotels, residential buildings, underground parking, urbanization works, coordinating, in the architectural design field, structural and HVAC/MEP design and carrying out the supervision of works for the projects designed. Furthermore, Marco had the opportunity to sign numerous projects while working with the artistic direction of Luigi Caccia Dominioni. Among the major important construction works that he coordinated are four malls of the Esselunga chain, the new judiciary centre of Trento and the educational and department buildings of the Politecnico of Milan. He has furthermore worked abroad in the last years and in particular in Baku, capital city of Azerbaijan, where he coordinated the works of the requalification and expansion of the Baku opera and ballet theatre as well as the project for events and restoration ‘New Sadko’ and the renovation of the Baku sports hall. In 2016 Marco Conte founded the partnership CSA studio with his friends Mario Serini and Silvia Peca.
